Included Software Master Branch Emulators I would even suggest doing it now even if you have no intention yet of installing a port that uses X11 yet so that you do not need to deal with this issue in the future. This only needs to be done one time to fix the issue for all ports and programs that use the X11 window system. I would suggest you allow the pi user or anyone to run X11. In the dialog box that comes up, you can select which users are allowed to use the X11 system. You can do this by running the following command: In these cases, you will need to tell the system that it is okay for users other than root to use X11.

In some cases, I've included the X11 window system because of issues such as the game not going fullscreen, or just not functioning at all without it.

If you somehow don't see a dialog box after installation, you can open the script itself and look towards the bottom for the warning.Īnother possible case is the port uses the X11 windowing system. The warning dialog box at the end of installation should usually tell you what files will be needed and where to place them. Otherwise, you will need to provide your own. In most cases, this is likely because the port requires external data files, especially in the case of game engines. The port I installed appears to close immediately upon launching. Here are some helpful hints for getting around some possible issues that you may encounter. If your setup differs, just copy the scripts directly to the folder they need to be in. This script assumes that you are running it on a Raspberry Pi with the RetroPie-Setup being stored in /home/pi/RetroPie-Setup.

The following clones the repo to your Pi and then the install-scripts.sh installs the scripts in the master branch directly to the proper directories in RetroPie-Setup.

Feel free to use the issue tracker to send me any personal requests for new scripts Pull requests and issue reports are accepted and encouraged as well as requests. Scripts that are unfinished, untested, unpolished will not be located in this repository and instead have been moved to. Those in the master branch have been tested reasonably and should work well but may have some flaws as they haven't gone through the RetroPie's watchful eyes yet. These scripts can be considered experimental at best. Included in RetroPie for one reason or another. This is a collection of unofficial installation scripts for RetroPie allowing you to quickly and easily install emulators, ports and libretrocores that haven't been
